Christian mysticism is a vast topic that requires direct personal experience and awareness to be fully understood. The way of the mystic is a path which is made easier with the help of those who have walked before. This site presents the works of Elizabeth Burrows with the hope they may help others on their spiritual journey.
Elizabeth Burrows was one of the foremost authorities on the life of Christ and the mysteries of the Apocalypse. During her spiritual transformation, Elizabeth was initiated into some of the greatest mysteries of Christendom directly by Jesus the Christ and those who serve him in the higher angelic regions. See her autobiography "Mystic Voyage" under books.
During her life she revealed the mystical teachings of Jesus as he taught his disciples on the shores of Galilee. These include not only the lost years and secret teachings of the Master, but also the most guarded secrets of the Christian World, known as the Resurrection of the Dead.
Some History...
In late summer of 1970, Elizabeth MacDonald Burrows was taken in spiritual form to meet with Jesus the Christ. This was the first meeting of what would later turn out to be a number of appearances by him to her. Raised a Christian, she had failed to find many answers within the structured limitations of the church, particularly since she was visited and guided by the unseen Masters of the angelic regions from her early youth. This would later cause her to seek out the teachings of master initiates throughout the ages - in the worlds of religion, philosophy, music, art and science. She, herself, entered initiation into the mysteries during the spring of 1971 under the careful tutelage of the Great Illumined Brotherhood. Although Elizabeth was born with deep intuitive insights into the nature of life, this was to be enhanced during June 1971.
On June 6th, 1971 at 10:30 A.M., her mind melded with the consciousness of God, containing the mysteries of the universe. Knowledge poured through her faster than the fastest computer ever conceived by science. In part, this revealed the magnificent destiny of the human race and the progression of the universe. She realized that every man, woman, and child would achieve it, and by nightfall she was doing discourses on the origin of the universe. Known as Cosmic Consciousness, or Illumination, is the third phase of Christian Mysticism - subsequent to Awakening and Purification.
By January 1972, Elizabeth renounced a personal life and dedicated herself to the work of teaching, specializing in Christian Mysticism, in order to hasten the birth of this higher consciousness throughout the world. She left on her first United States lecture tour in a rebuilt taxi. She carried a two-man tent and three hundred dollars. Fifteen and one-half months later she completed the end of her first tour in New York harbor at the feet of the Statue of Liberty. Today her work has spread internationally, including Africa, where the Elizabeth M. Burrows Peace Center has graduated over 3,000 students.
During the many years of her extensive international tours, she spent five years of intensive study under the tutelage of Professor Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, former Professor of Philosophy and Experimental Psychology of the University of Cluj, Rumania. Professor Szekely spoke fifteen languages and was responsible for translating the Secret Testament of Jesus Christ by John the Beloved from original Hebrew and Aramaic texts during his studies in the Roman Vatican, the central core of Jesus' secret teachings.
Later, Elizabeth traveled to India, where she spent time with one of the greatest Vedanta scholars of India, Swami Chinmayananda, to resolve the differences between East and West.
She is considered one of the foremost experts in the world on the Christian Mysteries, the Life of Christ and St. John's Apocalypse.
